Prof. Reetesh Sah, Professor in the Department of History at Kumaun University, Nainital, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Registrar of the University. An accomplished scholar in Contemporary Indian History, Regional History, Environmental History, and the History of Science and Technology, he holds a Ph.D. in History along with an MBA in Human Resource Management.
With a rich academic record, Prof. Sah has authored six books and published more than 50 research papers in various academic journals and publications. He has also been associated with significant research projects supported by prestigious institutions, including the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Defence.
Alongside his academic contributions, he brings extensive administrative experience, having served in important roles such as Public Relations Officer (PRO), Deputy Controller of Examinations, Proctor, and Additional Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). His combined expertise in academics, research, and university administration brings valuable experience to his role as Registrar and contributes to the effective governance and institutional development of Kumaun University.
